After successfully earning their associate degrees, the couple mapped out a strategic plan to reach their ultimate goal: a Doctor of Physical Therapy program. Adams transferred to Hunter College in Manhattan, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in human biology, while Caceres charted her own rigorous undergraduate path.
Their hard work paid off when both were accepted into Binghamton University’s highly competitive DPT program. Relocating from New York City to the Southern Tier of New York, they tackled the grueling doctoral curriculum as a unified team. Physical therapy school is notoriously demanding, requiring massive amounts of memorization, clinical rotations, and hands-on practical exams.
